Come with me, please, as I rediscover the country that got under our skin 22yrs ago when Bob and I lived there for 3 yrs.
Any country would change in 22yrs, but perhaps none more than Brazil. "We can offer come to the aid of the eurozone" was what Brazilian leaders were saying on the news the other day! That's a bit of a shock to the system for us Brits who, come on let's admit it, have thought of ourselves as more powerful. Brazil has just nudged us into 7th place as it becomes the world's 6th largest economy!
But what of its people? I can't wait to get even just a little feel of how they are faring. So as I fly out of our dear tired old Britain today I'll be all ears and let you know what - and who - I find.
This is where my journey started - choosing Tropical Strength mosquito cream on a freezing drizzly day. Now all equipped I board the plane this afternoon.
Fun fact :- Brazil is 34 times the size of Britain
